One last party in the dungeons of Amsterdam

May 15, 2017

Amsterdam is full of interesting and hidden places where usually you need to know a guy who knows a guy who knows a place. Or, if you are lucky enough, you just pass by it when there is a party and you just join the crowd. Our party in April was in one of those places and it was a big hit. But I am getting a little bit too into the story. Going back to last month…

We already knew Spinhuis from last year when we organized 2 parties. The place is an old dungeon, situated under a bridge in the center of Amsterdam. Once you enter, you cannot be but a little bit amazed of the place but also about the fact that this exists so centrally and it is so easily accessible.

Not too long ago we heard from the Het Spinhuis Collective that the place will be closed soon and, as we really wanted to have the third and last hurrah in the medieval dungeons of Amsterdam, we decided to organize a party.

4 days to plan everything? Easy peasy lemon squeeze. The poster was already done, the idea behind it was in place, DJs all set so all we had to do is cross our fingers and hope for the best.

And it was more than great!

We made 836 euros profit for our water project, 221 euros for the refugee hotel in Athens (from the solidarity cocktail bar) and 209 euros for the hub to invest in future events.

Overall, we can say that the night went pretty well. :)

A special thank you to Enka and Lola for the wonderful music vibes, to our lovelies who helped out that night and to all of you beautiful people who joined us for this special family gathering.

That’s all for this time. See you at our next Open air event on the 3rd of June.

Much love,
